After the "oh so fun" Wedding Friday night, we got up early Saturday morning and finished our projects around the house, visited with Ella Rose and then we headed out to Westminster, South Carolina. Fred spoke at the Calvary COG Sunday morning and presented the work of PCL and also gave plaques to the three men who raised/gave the $70,000 for the two floating ministry boats we have on the Tonle Sap Lake. It was a great restful weekend for me! We really enjoyed the ride over and the time to relax and have fun with friends.
To get there, you take I-64, or the Cleveland By-pass and go toward Ocoee. We passed many beautiful "country places." This was a natural waterfalls beside an old country store where we stopped just to take a look.
This is the sign that made us stop an take a look!

Of course, we passed all the rafters at the Ocoee Olympic Site
And there were many many Beautiful scenes along the way! I loved these horses!
We finally arrived at Gary and Patti Burton's new log cabin. All handmade, not a kit. He is a logger so he hand picked all of his wood. It was beautiful!
Beautiful Inside and Out! Something about a log cabin makes you just want to lay around!

I Loved her pantry, the way everything was put in jars and written with a marker.

Then, they took us to a Fish Camp for supper named Booty's!! Yes, it was an "all-you-can-eat" so maybe the name was telling us something about what happens when you eat there.

Then we went back to the log cabin and enjoyed some fireworks! They had just finished with their Missions Fireworks Tent and cleared over $6,000 for missions in only one week!
This is all of us watching the fireworks from the upper porch

Here is the whole gang. The first couple beside Fred are the pastors with two of their four children, then there is Whitney and Chris (Gary's son & wife), Gary & Patty, Patton & Cindy, Me, and Jeff and Tammy.
The church service was awesome. Reminded me so much of growng up at the main street church in Barbourville. Just like old times.

On the way home we stopped at a country market where I found half-white runner green beans!! I was so excited. I can't ever find those. So we bought all kinds of garden vegetables to make a big feast for Monday night.
It took me the whole two hours ride home to break up all the beans while Fred drove.
Oh, and we also stopped at this awesome resale kids store outside of Cleveland on I-64 and well, pretty much bought everything to make Ella a playground in our backyard. So we are Ready for the Big Birthday Party coming up real soon!!
