Saturday in Hershey

Yesterday's schedule in the Park went something like this. . .

Watch Show, Eat, go to the bathroom
Watch Show, Eat, go to the bathroom
Watch Show, Eat, go to the bathroom
Watch Show, Eat, go to the bathroom
and repeat

We were like little kids at the circus. Teddie ordered 20 hot wings and ate most of them. I got a cotton candy and a cherry snow cone at the same time, and Granny, well she just "needed a little something sweet" but didn't want to give a "war pension" for it.

First thing we did was take the tour of Chocolate World

These are Hershey Kisses coming off the line.
Hershey makes 80 million kisses PER DAY!

(This was the place where I found an envelope FULL of money, but yes, I turned it in. I dont know why but this is the third time in my life I have found an envelope with a lot of money in it. God must be testing me or something.)

Then we took the Trolley Tour through town

This is the back side of Milton Hershey's Home

Imagine having $60 million dollars and giving every cent of it away. That's what Milton S. Hershey did. In one of the biggest philanthropic gestures of the century, Milton S. Hershey and his wife Catherine, who could have no children of their own, founded a residential school for children in need.
Milton, preceded in death by his wife, left his fortune to the School, which has been in existence for nearly 100 years.
Today, the Milton Hershey School, serving 1,400 children from across the country, continues to grow. It provides a home, food, clothing, medical care, and a quality education at no cost and they are looking for more children to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Then we visiting the Hershey Hotel & Gardens

Then we went back to the park to see Whitney & Nathan's last 2 shows.

As we were leaving the park we were talking about how pretty the park was and gran says "I just love that peach smell in the park. We're both looking at her thinking.. we didnt notice a peach smell. She said "Oh yes, I've smelled it all day. I've got a good smeller." She said she thought they must pump it into the park through the vents to which I said that if they were going to pump a smell into the park wouldn't it be Chocolate.... sort of the way Cleveland smells due to the M&M plant? Later that night Teddie pops a piece of gum into her mouth and Gran says "There's that smell again! I smell it here too" Come to find out, Teddie had been chewing "peach" gum all day!

Earlier during the day we were leaving the Hershey parking area and Teddie figures out that we have gone over our time and will have to pay $10 so we get the $10 but when she gets up to the booth she says to the guy "Oh, did we go over our time? (in a dumb blonde kinda way) to which he says "yes maam, it's $10." She says "but we have to come back in a few hours and then we'll have to pay again. We have kids in the show blah blah blah. . ." I dont know if she was batting her eyes or what but he just smiled at her and gave her the $10 back and we didnt have to pay anything! Upon driving away, I said "WooHoo $10" and Gran said "Teddie I knew you still had it, you just havent been using it!"
