Random Christmas Stories

Late Christmas Night my computer rang from Skype. It was my youngest daughter and her husband who are on a contract with RC Cruise lines. It was so special to get to see their sweet faces at the end of the day. Our connection was really bad though and it cut off about five times. We ended up having to facebook chat. The one other time we skyped from the boat it was a great connection. They were near Haiti this time though. Anyway, I really appreciate them taking the time and money to Skype me on Christmas Night. I love and miss them so much!!



On a different note, have you ever thought about those Santa's in the mall taking photos with all the little children? It's funny because most children's photos sitting on Santa's lap usually has a child who is crying. No wonder, Santa is really a strange looking character, not to mention that he is a "stranger." Here's this years photo and poor little Marley wasn't having it!



I saw this guy in the Orlando mall the other day. Now, if you saw this random man in the mall would you tell your child to go sit on this guys lap? haha But he is probably the second-shift Santa just waiting for his turn.



All of this came to mind because the other night Ella was saying her prayers and she looked up at me and said I love all my people; mommy, daddy, nana, poppy, mimi, etc.... and then she said "santa." Which made me think, what if some random weirdo dressed like Santa came up to her, she would probably go with him.... thinking he is Santa and her friend. Scary thought. But thank goodness we live in a small sweet town and our mall Santa (in the girls photo) looks like a very sweet old grandpa.
